A Personal Goldmine Within

We all have a goldmine of well-being and even bliss within our nervous systems. All of us. None of us is lacking in this, no matter how miserable or out of balance we might currently feel.

Being able to access and source from this natural well of goodness within, well, that’s the golden ticket, yes?

What supports you to walk in balance and in beauty, and to feel and operate from your natural Garden of Eden within?

We must allow ourselves to do these things each day. We must.

Perhaps you, like most of us, are thinking that were external circumstances slightly (or grossly) more favorable, my partner slightly (or grossly) more this, my bank account slightly (or grossly) more that, I could allow myself to feel the joy and ease, well-being and bliss I so aspire to feel.

Very few are willing to believe me when I say: it’s not your partner; it’s not your bank account balance; it’s not your job; it’s not even your health; it’s not what you think.

In fact, the very human tendency to attribute our internal imbalances to external causes is partly why we suffer.

As counterintuitive as it may seem, as potentially dangerous or ruinous as you may imagine or feel this is, you must take your attention off the externals and turn inward.

We have to turn inward.

When we do, we take our first step toward our own private pot of gold.

Next, we need to regulate our nervous systems and reestablish internal balance.

In an ocean swim, a beautiful rainbow lattice weave appears on the ocean floor as a result of sunlight reflecting through the wave patterns. On a calm day, these patterns are beautifully coherent; on a stormy day, how quickly they begin to look and feel chaotic. Similarly for our nervous systems. A regulated nervous system allows us to feel firsthand harmonic resonance and internal coherence, resulting in deep internal relaxation. This is our natural birthright.

How do you deeply regulate your nervous system, so that your body can settle, your breath deepen, your feet actually FEEL the earth beneath you, your heart begin to flow?

Bliss May Be Quieter Than We Imagine

We may have defined bliss so narrowly that we overlook the forms that are already apparent in this very moment: a warm sensation in the chest, the pleasure of a full breath, sunlight against the skin, the relief of unclenching the jaw, the intimacy of truly feeling the sole of our foot melting into the ground, the subtle sweetness of blood coursing through our bodies, our hearts beating without any effort on our part, simply a gift from life within us.

Our practice becomes looking and listening for the natural bliss already present within us. And as we attune to these experiences, we train ourselves to be able to sustain awareness there, grow our confidence in its accessibility, and more readily and regularly access our goldmine within.

What action can you take today to discover or enjoy your own private goldmine within? What if you actually let yourself take it? One great choice after another creates for your best life. I am here for you should you like support.
